What a week! Thanks to the dedication and hard work of our volunteers and your prayers our annual Vacation Bible School (VBS) was a wonderful success. Over 40 children came to St. Paul’s this week alongside over two dozen volunteers to enjoy four days of Spirit filled fun and discovery.

A huge amount of thanks is due to Karla Lamb and Jessie Gowan for their leadership and coordination, to the kitchen team (Joyce Logan, Jean Bates, Dawn Lent, Nancy McGrath and Shirley Stanley), to Debbie Jarvis our story teller, to our craft ladies (Donna Leonard and Cheryl Murray), and to our group and station leaders (Sheri McCarthy, Byrann Gowan, Hana Coughlan, Reagan and Cameron Hoyt, Kate Turner, Charles Parker, Julia Reid, Kristy Crabbe, Sophia Rennick, Destiny Rennick, Kara McAllister, Hannah MacNeil, Shelby Scott, Myra Stites, Sharon Kelly,  Colton Scott, Cassidy Savage, Camryn Savage, and Julia Lamb). Also a big thanks to all the kids for being so fun and ready to take part and to their parents and other grownups for sending them to VBS this year. (If in reading this you notice I’ve forgotten to thank someone please let me know so that I can thank them in our next newsletter)

This Friday also marks the last day of our Summer Student’s term with us this year. A big thank you to Julia Reid for being such a great Summer Student and especially for all her help with our Summer Sunday School program and VBS. Julia, you will remain very much in our prayers this Fall as you return to your studies, and we pray for God’s continued blessing in your life in the years ahead.

Finally, we will be continuing our Summer Alpha Series this Sunday morning, August 29th by looking at the question “How can I Resist Evil?”

I hope to see you there.
Rev. David
